Meadowsweet Cottage is located at Mossat, a tiny picturesque hamlet set back from the A97 about a mile from Kildrummy Castle and 6 miles from Alford in the scenic Donside region of Aberdeenshire. This is comfortable and stylish self catering accommodation and is ideal for 2 people. The cottage is next door to Frog Marsh self-catering cottage sleeping 6 .

This is an ideal base for a holiday in Scotland in all seasons. Cosy in winter, you are well placed for Scotland's skiing and snowboarding. Mossat is half an hour's drive to The Lecht Ski Centre and 40 minutes from Glenshee, and all around are wonderful scenic routes through Strathdon, or heading towards Tomintoul or Perth.

This is fantastic walking country and in summer, when the hills around about are covered in heather a great place to experience the romance of the Scottish Highlands. You can easily drive to Aberdeen and the coast, or hundreds of castles, gardens, National Trust Houses, whisky distilleries and Pictish and Celtic antiquities. Or totally relax at home and see nearby Kildrummy Castle, and Kildrummy Castle Gardens.

Tariff:

2007 Up to 2 people:

£375 per week.

Included:

Reasonable electricity for light and cooking.
Basic herbs/spices/salt and pepper, coffee/tea etc. in the larder cupboard.
Use of a CD/radio, TV, with integral video (please note that the area is very hilly and the quality of vision therefore cannot be guaranteed).
Iron and ironing board, fridge with freezer compartment.
Linen and towels (one set per week).

Oil heating.

Open all year.
