Frog Marsh self-catering cottage is set back from the road in the little hamlet of Mossat in Donside, a meandering and beautiful river valley in Aberdeenshire.
This part of Scotland is famous for dozens of romantic castles, whisky distilleries, historic houses and gardens and waymarked walks and ancient archeology. Even if you are staying just one night don't miss visiting Kildrummy Castle below left (one of Scotland's largest 13th c. castles) and the 16th c. Z-plan tower house of Glenbuchat a mile or two down the road.
Also just up the valley, on the way to Royal Deeside, Strathdon is the setting for the Lonach Gathering (4th Saturday in August) very enjoyable Scottish Highland Games (the best, we think), attended by the Chief of the Clan Forbes, Billy Connelly and friends. Frog Marsh Bed and Breakfast is a short drive away so it's a good idea to book as much in advance as you can.

Light and airy, stylish and sophisticated, the accommodation consists of 3 double/twin bedrooms all with an extra special luxury bath/shower (in every bathroom as well as large size waterfall shower, there is a hand-held power-shower with various settings...) A separate one bedroom self-catering facility, Meadowsweet Cottage is also available next door.

£750 per week.
The price includes linen and towels, reasonable use of electricity for light and cooking.
Oil heating is extra and priced at £10.00 per 12 hour day (or part thereof).
Overnight heating is only available in extreme weather conditions (sustained temperatures of minus 7°C or less) and is charged at the above rate.
Heating charges are payable on departure in £ stirling.
