Savock is situated on the north-east coast of Scotland, 20 minutes from Aberdeen airport. Sheltered among mature trees, the 150-year old Victorian house is the family home of George and Pat Booth who, together with their son Andrew, farm the surrounding land. Hospitality plays a key role in the Booth family: They also run a farm shop, The Store at nearby Foveran, selling home-produced Aberdeen-Angus beef and lamb, and at Savock have three rooms available for bed and breakfast guests.
Savock is within easy reach of the championship golf courses at Royal Aberdeen, Murcar and Cruden Bay. Moreover, as a past captain of Aberdeen Ladies Golf Club, Pat is happy to welcome golfers and arrange their itineraries and tee times. There are several good restaurants nearby, but dinner can sometimes be arranged at Savock with advance notice. Pat's generous breakfast will set you up for the day.
The area has many places of interest, including some of the most notable castles in Scotland, whisky distilleries, and world-renowned birdwatching. The country's largest colony of eider duck can be found on the nearby Ythan Estuary.
