Collymoon Pendicle is almost in the very middle of Scotland, close to Loch Lomond, the Trossachs, and all the other inspiring and beautiful southern Highland landscapes to the west of Stirling.
Caroline and Robin Tough live here with their family, and warmly welcome guests to stay for bed and breakfast; an ideal base for exploring central Scotland and further afield.
The surrounding land is farmed by Caroline's brother and she has lived here all her life. The house was built on the site of an old croft; its name is derived from Col - Hill, and Moor. Pendicle refers to its dependancy as a croft.
Guests are also welcome to fish for salmon, trout and sea-trout on the River Forth which meanders quietly under willows and alders beyond the garden, just across the field.
Caroline offers optional dinner as well as bed and breakfast (see below), and is happy to make packed lunches.

In September 1547, because of marauding bands of English soldiers in the valley of the Forth , 4 year old Mary Queen of Scots was taken for safety to Inchmahome Priory on an island in the Lake of Mentieth. It is just 3 miles away from Collymoon Pendicle. |
