Rozie and Jamie Parker welcome guests for bed and breakfast at their home just 45 minutes drive from Glasgow and Glasgow Airport. Situated near the small village of Killearn on the edge of the Campsie Hills, (south of Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park and north of Glasgow), The Moss is an excellent base from which to explore Glasgow, Loch Lomond, The Trossachs, Stirling, Perth, Edinburgh and even both east and west coasts.

Guest bedrooms are in the wing (to the left of the main house in the photograph), and you have your own key and entrance. Downstairs in the wing is a kitchen area for making snacks, and upstairs there is a sitting area on the landing. The bedrooms have televisions, and tea and coffee. Breakfast is served in the Dining Room of the main house.

The Moss, (Grade II listed Georgian house dating from 1720) is surrounded by gardens and trees beside the River Blane. In the grounds is the site of the house in which George Buchanan, tutor to James VI of Scotland (James I of England), was born in 1506. From the bedrooms are views over the lawn to rushy meadows and woodland which in the morning are often visited by deer. This is an idyllic place, very peaceful, and it's hard to believe you're only 16 miles from Glasgow.
