Applecross Cottages,
Applecross
Wester Ross
Sleeping 2 and 4
These terraced cottages are ideally situated just across the single-track road from the rocky shore at Applecross (pub, shop/PO), one of Scotland's hidden gems on its dramatic west coast. Previously belonging to the estate, the row of cottages looks out over the Inner Sound to Raasay and Skye. The view can be enjoyed from the small private garden (furniture) directly on the sea front.
As a result of complete internal renovation and modernization both cottages are now very comfortable and snug. The village pub (bar meals) is a totter away and within half a mile there is a wide sandy beach at Applecross Bay.
In summer, the village roadsides are lush with wild orchids and iris, in stark contrast to the austerity of the mountain road on the way in. This is a place for unwinding and relaxing, for forgetting the problems of everyday life. Let the tranquillity of walking by the beach or coast soothe you or be stimulated by the challenge of climbing the neighbouring hills. Mountaineering and kayaking expeditions can be arranged in the village.
Electric heating, bed-linen and towels are
included. Up to two pets are welcome by arrangement. Sorry, no smoking. Wi-Fi is available, subject to provider.
