This excellent, five bedroom house stands in its own extensive garden on the outskirts of Blairgowrie, with Blairgowrie Golf Club (three courses including the illustrious Rosemount) just along the road.
The house was designed to the owners own specification with a superb open plan living area with wood burner and balcony, part of which is as high as the house with floor to roof windows to match. The kitchen has a magnificent range cooker and is very well equipped. In addition to the spacious open plan living area, there is an additional TV/Sitting room. There is a downstairs double bedroom with adjoining shower room while upstairs there are four further bedrooms, two with en suite showers, and a further bathroom with separate shower.
Blairgowrie is about 15 miles north of Perth and is very conveniently situated for a whole host of interests and activities. There are excellent road connections to Dundee and Fife, where you can visit St Andrews, and maybe even have a round at the 'Home of Golf'. For major shopping therapy, the historic capital of Scotland and ever popular Edinburgh with its castle, famous Princess Street and Old town can be reached in just over an hour's drive, with the cosmopolitan city of Glasgow only slightly further away.
A short drive will bring you to the excellent walking opportunities in the glorious Angus glens, while there is pony trekking and fishing close by. In winter the ski slopes at Glenshee are about 17 miles up the road and if you continue past Glenshee, you will come to Braemar and the wonderful Highland scenery of Royal Deeside, while an 11 mile drive will bring you to Dunkeld where you can see the ospreys at Loch of the Lowes, and join the A9 to take you north to Aviemore, the Cairngorms and even Inverness.
Glamis Castle, the childhood home of the late Queen Mother, is about 16 miles away in the Strathmore Valley, while the beautiful beach at Lunan Bay can be reached within the hour.
£15 of gas CH and the first £10 of electricity, bed linen and towels are included in the rental. Up to two well-behaved pets are welcome by arrangement. Smoking is not permitted in the house. A refundable householder's deposit will be required. Wi-Fi is available, subject to provider.
