The Glenmoriston Estate
Two cottages, both sleeping 4
Levishie House (sleeps 4)
The 9,000 acre Glenmoriston Estate between Inverness (27m) and Fort William (37m) stretches west from the shores of loch Ness into some of Scotland's most glorious scenery, where excellent road connections provide touring opportunities in all directions.
Quietly situated about a mile from Invermoriston village (shop, hotel) on the hillside above the road to Skye, Levishie House is a modern, spacious and very comfortable house surrounded by a grassy orchard with a little stream tumbling through it. With a wood burning stove in the inviting sitting room, and bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs and down, it offers accommodation which is versatile, warm and comfortable.
The area offers a dizzying array of things to do and see - boat trips on Loch Ness, fishing can be arranged on the Estate in season, pony trekking, golf, wonderful walking in the surrounding hills, glorious wildlife, ski-ing at Aonach Mor in winter and mountain biking there or on the Great Glen Cycleway. Or you could just relax and enjoy the views and the peaceful surroundings.
Heating is by electric storage heaters (electricity included) and wood burning stove (logs included). Bed linen and towels are included. Sorry no pets or smoking in the cottage. Water is from a private source. Wi-fi available, subject to provider.

The Garden House (Sleeps 4)
This unique and most elegant house is set within the wide lawns of the 9,000 acre Glenmoriston Estate which stretches westwards from Loch Ness in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, with an oblique but unimpeded view of the loch only a few hundred yards away.
Set behind, but completely separate from the Big House, it is a most deceptive building, on two levels, which has been carefully renovated and expensively furnished. On the entrance level are a charming dining kitchen, a most comfortable sitting room with log burner, and an en suite double bedroom. Open tread stairs lead down to a further sitting area with woodburner, utility room, en suite twin and an electric sauna (charge). A fascinating, stone-walled tunnel leads from outside the lower area under the driveway to the lawn and river! Well, we did say 'unique'!
Guests have access to the wide lawns and grounds and can sit out quite privately behind the cottage. The Estate offers fishing in season, and the area teems with wildlife. Walking, cycling, riding, ski-ing (35m at Aonach Mor near Fort William) are other popular pastimes, while the Estate's central situation makes it an ideal base for touring as far afield as Skye and Torridon.
Bed linen, towels and first £15 of electricity are included. Sorry no pets or smoking in the cottage. Wi-Fi available subject to provider.
