Shepherd's Cottage reigns supreme - about 1,OOOft up in the hills, the former home of a shepherd - a traditional old stone cottage which stands all on its own at the side of a wood commanding sweeping views over the stunning Perthshire countryside.
Drive your car 2 miles up a farm track from the attractive small town of Aberfeldy (shops, hotels, 18-hole golf, swimming pool) right to the door of the cottage, and enjoy the peace, privacy, walking, wildlife, and trout fishing (free of charge) on this private 10,000-acre country Estate which borders the southern shore of Loch Tay (watersports). A good road to the fast A9 allows visits to the Cairngorm Mountains, Inverness, Loch Ness, and the Moray Firth; while to the west Oban can easily be visited - as can beautiful Loch Tummel and Loch Rannoch, and all the other wonderful scenery of this spectacular area of central Scotland that you are staying in.
Heating is by wood-burning stove and night storage heaters. Bed-linen and towels
included. Pets are welcome under control (sheep farm).
