Trimontium View
Near Melrose

Sleeping 12

This very attractive and extremely spacious modern detached house stands on the edge of the tiny village of Midlem, between Selkirk and Melrose in the lovely Scottish Borders. (Trimontium was the Roman name for the legendary Eildon Hills.)

Bright and airy, it is an ideal venue for larger gatherings of family and friends, with extensive living areas, a downstairs bedroom and shower room very suitable for less able guests, and, upstairs, a variety of bedrooms and a further shower room and bathroom (with two baths, no less!) The large upstairs landing makes an excellent play area for children.

It stands in its own enclosed garden, with decking to the front and lawned area and has fine views of the surrounding area.

Midlem is a pretty little village clustered round a village green and is within easy reach of both Selkirk and Melrose, where there are plenty shops and eating places. Each town has a golf course and Selkirk also has a swimming pool. Just down the road from the house, Braidwood Clays offers clay pigeon shooting.

The area offers a host of attractions - riding, walking, mountain biking, fishing, historic castles and stately homes to visit, to name but some. You are also just over an hour's drive from Edinburgh and the Berwickshire coast, with its fine beaches and rugged cliffs.

Bed linen, towels, and electricity are all included!included. Heating by LPG extra by meter reading. Two pets are welcome by arrangement but should not be allowed in carpeted areas. Sorry, no smoking in the cottage.
