6, St Mary's Place vegetarian accommodation

Six Mary's Place is a warm, comfortable, friendly and beautifully refurbished Georgian town house in the heart of Edinburgh offering Bed and Breakfast accommodation. Situated in the community of Stockbridge, 'a village within the city', it was built in 1829 as part of John Learmonth's estate, and named after his daughter Mary. Mary's Place is part of Raeburn Place named after the famous Scottish portrait painter Sir Henry Raeburn.

Stockbridge and the area around about is known for its superb range of restaurants, pubs and antique shops. It has been the home of many famous Scots including the philosopher economist Adam Smith.

It's only a short walk or bus ride from Princes Street, the Royal Mile and the very centre of Edinburgh.

Six Mary's Place is vegetarian friendly and has internet connection points in all rooms.

Accommodation:

The house has eight bedrooms on three floors, the upper two accessible via a fine Georgian spiral staircase.

All bedrooms except one (which has a private bathroom) are fully ensuite.

Each room has an Internet connection point, TV and Telephone.

Extracts from the Guest Book:

"Third visit and first time I've commented on Six Mary's Place. It's all been said by the other guests - a warm, friendly atmosphere, lovely food, and so central for the city. I love the village atmosphere of Stockbridge too. Thank you all." - Esther Lambert.

"Six Mary's Place was, by far, the best of the accommodation during my five week trip which included London and Dublin. And, to think I found you on the internet!" - HT, Sydney, Australia.

"This is one of the nicest places I have ever stayed in. It beats any famous chains of hotels in the way it has been set out and the furniture is gorgeous." - Gaynor, Liverpool.

Six Mary's Place is an ideal place for single people, couples or families to stay. Each room has tea and coffee making facilities.
