A house above a waterfall in central Edinburgh.

This self catering rental is unique in the centre of Edinburgh: hidden away in an old mews in Dean Village, a short walk from the West End of Princes Street, on the wooded banks of the Water of Leith and overlooking a spectacular waterfall (right).

The waterfall is quite high and spans the width of the river - what could be more calming in the middle of a city than breakfast on a balcony with the sound of water?

Number 21 is on three floors with the kitchen, dining room and living room upstairs. There is accommodation for 6 in three bedrooms with three bath/shower rooms, A further fold-away single bed is available for a seventh person. There is a garage with space for one car, and further parking outside for a second car. Children are very welcome.

Not only is it just a 10 minute walk to Princes Street but the Gallery of Modern Art (and Dean Gallery) is even closer, and for total escapism the Water of Leith has 12 miles of walks along its banks - this part in Dean village is probably the most picturesque.

Prices range from £950 to £1550 per week depending on the season. 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 night breaks also available (minimum 2 nights).
