Learmonth Terrace is a row of grand Victorian town houses now divided into apartments. The door to number 11 is in the centre of the photograph (right), and Trish Crane's second floor apartment is at the back of the house so is very quiet. It has big windows with incredible views over Edinburgh; a wide expanse including Fettes College and away to the Firth of Forth and the hills of Fife.

It's a short walk across the bridge over the Water of Leith to the West End of Princes Street, George Street and the very centre of Edinburgh. Also, Stockbridge (cheese shop, delicatessen, bars and bistros) is just down the hill behind the terrace.

The apartment, awarded 4 stars by the Tourist Board, has one bedroom, but there is also double sofa bed in the big open-plan living room, ie; self catering for 2 to 4.

The sitting area: high ceiling and tall windows with lots of light. A great place to sit in the evening with a drink and watch the sunset.

Dining and kitchen area: As you can see, the living area is one large room with the sitting area at one end, dining table in the middle, and kitchen at the other. The kitchen has an electric hob and oven, microwave oven, washing machine/tumble dryer, fridge, etc.

Bedroom and bathroom: the bedroom has two single beds and, like the sitting room, an amazing view. (There's also a double sofa bed in the sitting room). The bathroom has a bath (with shower over, basin and wc).
