6 Leopold Place

Full of character, very central,
Georgian apartment for 2 to 4

Leopold Place is the home of Philip Dundas, a writer and restaurateur living in London part-time, using this lovely apartment to escape and write in peace.

5 minutes walk from the airport tram and 10 minutes from Waverley Station, Leopold Place, built in 1825, bridges the historic Georgian New Town and the top of Leith Walk. There is a taxi rank opposite and a convenient bus stop outside the door to transport you anywhere in the city.

This is not just a rental property, Philip really does live, write and cook here some of the time. And it's in one of the best areas of Edinburgh, an interesting mix of restaurants, bars, a theatre, shopping and walking close by. Everything you need is no more than minutes walk from the apartment. So whether you want fine dining, botanical gardens, art-house movies, major galleries, historic buildings or fashionista shopping, you won't have far to look.

2 Double bedrooms. The two comfortable and quiet double bedrooms both have their own bathrooms and showers. Philip designed the interiors himself and the master bedroom (below right) is a bit of a romantic fantasy. In fact you might never want to leave.
