29 Regent Terrace

Regent Terrace was built in 1826 as part of William Playfair's design for Calton Hill at the East end of Princes Street. The harmonious façade faces south with views through trees to Holyrood Park and Arthur's Seat. Jenny Linzee Gorden has dedicated the lower ground floor of her home at Number 29 to guests, and offers bed and breakfast accommodation in a twin or double bedroom throughout the year, with another double bedroom available for parties of friends or family travelling together. Stone steps (left) give access to your own front door. This is a quiet, central place to stay. Princes Street is 8 minutes' walk away, Waverley train station 10 minutes, and although there is metered parking outside, free parking is available 5 minutes walk away. Jenny (who also has a self-catering apartment in Hart Street for 4 to 6) knows Edinburgh well and is happy to help with advice about eating out, restaurants, etc. |
