Lots of space in the sunny first floor sitting room with panoramic sea views.
Facing South across the Firth of Forth the old fishing village of St Monans is bounded to the West by 14th century St Monan's church and to the East by a windmill dating from 1780. In between are rows of colourful fishermens' and merchants' houses all centred around the harbour which itself dates back to at least the 1500's.
Bosun's Cottage (the second house along, with red window margins (above and above right), is just past the harbour on East Shore and looks straight out to sea to the distant islands of Fidra and Bass Rock. When the tide is in the sea comes right up to the wall in front.
St Andrews is only 13 miles away so you could stay here for the Golf Open, or stay here to play on the many wonderful Fife golf courses.
There's an award winning seafood restaurant as well as a pub with good food, and you can buy fresh fish, all within walking distance, and free off-road parking behind the house and a garage for one car.
Above; Looking out to sea from the cottage. On the horizon are Bass Rock, left, and Fidra, right, both with protected bird colonies. A summer ferry-ride from nearby Anstruther, the Isle of May has thousands of breeding seabirds including Puffins, Eiders and Guillemots.

A non-refundable deposit equal to 25% of the total rent is required when you book the property. Full payment of the rent is required six weeks before your arrival date plus a refundable breakages deposit of £150. For bookings within two weeks of arrival a cash payment must be made.
