Fincraigs House, a Georgian farmhouse, is the home of the Felicity and Tom Gilbey and family, who offer bed and breakfast and a warm welcome to their guests. The house has great character and is furnished traditionally with family furniture, and is a relaxed and informal place to stay.
Set in the hills of North East Fife, near the Tay estuary, this is an excellent base for exploring central Scotland, the Highlands, and for golf. There are probably 60 golf courses within an hour's drive, including St Andrews 12 miles and Carnoustie 20 miles away. A mile or so down the road are ancient ruins of Balmerino Abbey, and there are lots of walks on the coast of the Tay Estuary. Dundee Airport is 25 minutes, Edinburgh Airport 55, and Glasgow airport 60 minutes away.
Felicity is very happy to book tee-times for golfing guests and can also advise on where to eat out for dinner and lunch and give ideas and useful information about where to go and what to do and see.
