Guided garden tours based in the
Highlands and North of Scotland
Five outline examples of Day Tours:
These tours are of gardens close enough to Inverness to be visited in a morning or afternoon. There is a wealth of gardens and as distances are not great, we can visit three gardens in a few hours.
- Foulis Castle
These gardens lie along a route to the northeast of Inverness along the north coast of the Moray Firth, taking in the Black-Isle, Cromarty and Dornoch Firths. The gardens enjoy long hours of sunshine and are dryer than those in the west.
- Dunrobin Castle

Visiting the gardens of the northwest takes us to some of the finest Highland scenery. At the same latitude as Labrador and further north than Moscow, the gardens are famed for the lush growth of exotic plants. We are spoilt for choice.
- The House of Gruinard
- Dundonnell House

Travelling along Loch Ness before branching westwards past the Five Sisters of Kintail we arrive on the west coast at Balmacara. Northwards then, to Loch Carron and the lovely garden of Attadale House amongst another two en-route.
- Clan Donald Centre Garden

Back to the East coast and along the southern shore of the Moray Firth towards Elgin. Returning inland by way of the Spey Valley. There is a variety of gardens and we will visit three of the best and most interesting.
