Approached by a long well-maintained drive leading into the heart of the Invercauld Estate, Altdourie House (sleeping 10) is in a stunning location with a commanding view over the wide valley of the River Dee in the Cairngorms National Park.

This is the much loved house regularly used by the owners, the Farquharsons, for holidays. It is traditionally furnished with fascinating prints and pictures and other items collected over the generations.

Altdourie House, witness to so many happy times and celebrations is now available as a self-catering holiday rental throughout the year. It is warm and comfortable with plenty of space for everyone.

Here you will find peace, clean air, the sound of the breeze in the trees and thousands of acres of amazing walking just from the doorstep. Nearby attractions include Glenshee and Lecht ski areas, Balmoral and Braemar Castles, Braemar golf course, pony trekking and Crathie Church. Lochnagar distillery is an easy drive and all the famous Speyside whisky distilleries are within a day's outing.

There are 8 bedrooms in all: 2 singles downstairs, then upstairs there are 2 twins, 1 single, 3 x 3/4 and 1 small double. There are 3 bathrooms, one of which is on the ground floor, the other two upstairs.
