Cranmore House
near Inverness

A new country house very close (2 miles) to Culloden and ideal accommodation for Cawdor Castle, the Cairngorms, whisky distilleries, Inverness, and Loch Ness.
About 4 miles from the A9.

Cranmore House is at the end of 1/2 mile drive on a gentle ridge between Nairnside and the Moray Firth, just 2 miles from both the site of the battle of Culloden and the 4000 year old Stones of Clava, and only few minutes drive from Inverness, the capital of the Highlands.

Rossie MacRae welcomes guests for bed and breakfast. Her house is bright and sunny with an open panoramic view south to the heathery slopes of Nairnside. Cranmore House was built only a couple of years ago and so when the photograph was taken in 2013 the hedges and trees Rossie has planted around the house were still small. Free range hens scratch around the garden, and the huge rock you can see in the photograph arrived on the surface when the ground-source heat-pump was dug.

Inside all is modern, comfortable and filled with masses of old pictures and interesting things. There are two bedrooms available upstairs, and a guests' drawing room on the ground floor with a television and wood-burning stove.
