Geddes House
Nairn
Scotland

Geddes House is a fine example of Georgian neo-classical architecture secluded by trees and approached along a drive through beech woodland, about 3 miles from Nairn and about 15 from Inverness.

The house was built in 1780 for George Mackintosh, direct ancestor of the Mackintosh-Walkers who live here today and farm the surrounding Estate.

Elizabeth Mackintosh-Walker enjoys welcoming guests to stay for bed and breakfast, with or without dinner. This is a much loved family home - a place of finely proportioned rooms, laid-back elegance and a relaxed charm that comes from the passage of time.

Also; Self catering. There is a one bedroom warm and quite spacious self-catering flat (bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, and living room) in the basement of Geddes House. The room has no view but is very cosy and suitable as a base for golfers or those fishing or touring.

Both B&B guests and the flat guests, are, very welcome and indeed encouraged to enjoy Geddes House garden. Garden lovers may also be interested in guided garden tours by Gavin Dallmeyer, a friend of the family.
