Jill and Johan Hensens offer a warm and friendly welcome to guests at Ancrum Craig Bed and Breakfast their home near Jedburgh in the Scottish Borders.

All the rooms are spacious, comfortable, with great character, and all have en suite facilities. Over the years Ancrum Craig has become known far and wide for its exceptional tranquility, comfort and quality.

In the 1500s a simple dwelling with accommodation above and animal quarters below was built in the shelter of the crag face; it still stands among the outbuildings behind the house to this day. Ancrum Craig as we know it was first built in the 1700's as a simple Scottish Farmhouse. In the 1830s a Victorian East Wing was added, the whole house restyled and faced with local red sandstone. The Hensens have created a large garden with inviting seats and there are wonderful views across the Teviot Valley extending as far as "The Cheviot" 30 miles away.

You are invited to use the elegant drawing room where your welcome cup of tea is served. It has bay windows looking out over the garden to panoramic views of the Teviot valley.

There is a variety of places to eat out in the locality.

There is a computer with internet facility available for the use of guests at Ancrum Craig as well as Wireless Broadband internet access for those with laptops.

We accept all major Credit cards with £3 surcharge per transaction. We reserve the right to charge 50% of the first night charge for cancellations within 2 months and to charge for the first night for cancellations within 1 week.
