Kellas House, built in 1916, is Grade 1 and listed as one of Scotland's finest Arts and Crafts houses.
It is set in large gardens of lawns, rhododendrons and shrubs bordered by Scots Pines and other specimen trees which frame glimpses and views of the hills and valley of the surrounding estate. Below the house, a short distance away, the River Lossie makes its way through the valley, beyond which are extensive heather and grass moorlands, also part of the 2500 acre mixed agricultural and sporting estate.
Details such as window proportions, alcove seats, fire surrounds, 18th century Dutch tiles and the grand wooden-balustered staircase are typical of the Scottish Arts and Crafts style; a substantial Scottish country house with an integrated design celebrating good craftsmanship.
The reception rooms are large and comfortable, and the bedrooms have large continental double beds. The House accommodates up to 14, with 6 double or twin bedded rooms, 2 single rooms, plus staff accommodation.
