Tish and Geoffrey Alderson have a stone-built self catering cottage called "Garden Cottage" (above right) attached to their Scottish Baronial home, Gilston Lodge (right) The lodge and cottage are set in large quiet garden (with ample parking).
Situated 8 miles south of Edinburgh's City Centre, right on the local bus route and close to Edinburgh City Bypass and airport, it's 20 minutes by car from Rosslyn Chapel, and 5 minutes walk to Dalkeith where there are pubs and restaurants.
The interior is completely modernised but with a traditional cottage atmosphere, and it's a comfortable and convenient place to stay for visiting Edinburgh or the surrounding area.
