Visit Scotland 5 star Highland B&B
Ruddyglow Park is a small boutique Bed and Breakfast in the awe-inspiring wilderness of the North West Highlands of Sutherland in the far North West of the Scottish mainland. The house is nestled between the foothills of Quinag and Loch Assynt in a much loved 4 acre garden full of trees and shrubs, a quiet haven in a landscape that is incomprehensibly ancient and breathtakingly beautiful.
Patricia Filmer-Sankey who owns and runs the house is a native of the parish of Assynt and a Director of the Assynt Foundation which manages the Glencanisp and Drumrunie estates to the South of Loch Assynt, so she is just the person to ask if you would like help in arranging a specialised holiday: deer-stalking, fishing (including Ferox), walking tours and guided walks and activities with local rangers. Also cycling, caving, mountaineering, birdwatching (eagles, peregrine falcons, greenshanks, etc.), boat trips, photography, geology. But...
...if you want to just be here and do absolutely nothing - just taking in all the space and tranquillity - Ruddyglow Park is warm and welcoming and just the place to be.
6 miles from Lochinver, less than 40 miles from Ullapool. Drumbeg and Kylesku, Handa Island, Durness, Cape Wrath and the far North are all within an easy drive.
