The Fifth annual Medieval Fayre this year promises to be a bigger event than ever before due to generous support from Scottish Borders Council.

The Fayre will transport you back to a past when Traquair played an important role as a hunting lodge for the Scottish royals and a centre of music and arts.

The programme, which is currently being finalised, will include the following highlights:

  • Jousting on the main avenue with the Knights of the Damned
  • Falconry
  • Demonstrations of ancient crafts and skills in the house includingbookbinding, scribes and tapestry.
  • Living History encampment Medieval Traders,
  • Archery, Minstrels, Jesters, and strange ramblings from Master Mandrake and Mistress Crabtree.
