Qualifications, terms and conditions
As a member of the Scottish Tourist Guides Association, I am a fully qualified, self-employed guide, qualified to guide throughout Scotland.
I am associated with Visit Scotland which is committed to making your visit to Scotland a vacation with fantastic experiences, great Scottish Hospitality and lasting memories.
I have successfully completed the Welcome Host
Scotland's Best courses.
I am a Member of the British Guild of Registered Tourist Guides which is the only professional association for Tourist Board Registered Guides in the British Isles.
I am also a Member of The Driver-Guides Association, which is the professional Association of Blue-Badge Driver Guides.
Terms and Conditions
The following conditions should be negotiated and agreed between the client/agent and the guide:
For a full day lasting more than 8 hours, or a half-day lasting more than 4 hours, an agreed supplementary payment per hour or per agreed additional period.
Lunch or meal allowance on full tour days.
Dinner, bed, breakfast and lunch/meal allowance on extended tours.
Transport/travelling expenses and travelling time to join tour.
A 33% deposit (unreturnable) to secure tour dates with the balance due 3 weeks prior to the commencement of the tour.
Cancellation fees for half day and full day tours:
If less than 7 days notice of cancellation is given a fee of 50% will be payable.
If less than 48 hours notice of cancellation is given the full fee will be payable.
Cancellation fees for extended tours:
A date for final confirmation should be agreed at the time of booking. Beyond this date, guides reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee.
Agent/Client should notify the guide immediately of tour alterations.
