Guests are welcome to relax in the Drawing room.

Hermione and Hugh Spencer warmly welcome guests to stay for bed and breakfast at their family home just off the A811 which goes around the South side of Loch Lomond in the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park.

Ashfield House is a fine Georgian house built in 1820, set in its own grounds of ten acres with mature trees and shrubs and with a walled garden. The trees slope down to a paddock where Hermione keeps ponies and from there it's a twenty minute energetic walk to the top of the hill and down to the shores of Loch Lomond.

Hugh is particularly knowledgeable about Scotland and is very happy to give advice and guidance to guests about touring in Scotland. From where can you see the best view of Loch Lomond? Hugh knows the answer!

Ashfield has two main bedrooms (with their own bathrooms) for guests, and further accommodation is sometimes available especially suitable for children who don't mind sharing their parents' bathroom.

The dressing room was made during the ownership of Mr Reid of Whytock & Reid, the Scottish cabinet makers who fitted out Cunard ocean liner RMS Queen Mary in 1936.

Extra accommodation is sometimes available.

Both bathrooms have old-fashioned cast-iron baths so big you can almost swim in them.

Breakfast served in the Dining Room.

Fresh coffee, tea, toast, croissants, fruit juice, cereals.

Cooked breakfast, as you wish: eggs, bacon, sausages, tomatoes, mushrooms, etc.

Special diets can be catered for, but please give Hermione plenty of advance notice.

Evening meals: There are several places to eat out within two miles.

£80 per room per night, and including breakfast.

Discounts are sometimes available at certain times of the year.

No smoking please.
