Within an easy drive there are wonderful seascapes (Lindisfarne, Holy Island, Farne Islands, Eyemouth), nature reserves, charming market towns and fishing villages, and of course the great variety of castles, abbeys and country houses which all played their part in shaping the fascinating and romantic history of this relatively undiscovered part of Scotland. The cottages are also just 5 minutes from Channel 4's Edwardian Country House, Manderston House.

The Coachhouse has been excellently restored and nestling in the wooded grounds the Groom's Cottage and Gardener's Cottage have been built to the highest standards carefully complimenting the 18th century buildings of nearby Allanbank Courtyard where owners Liz and Mike Hardy live.
