A mile south of the picturesque Royal Burgh of Forres, secluded among mature trees, gardens and rolling pastures, Knockomie is a hotel in the traditional Highland Scottish style which offers guests not only pampered comfort but also a refreshingly up-beat and contemporary experience. The house was originally built in 1821, then re-designed in 1914 and is one of the best examples of the 'Arts and Crafts' style in Scotland. Over the years proprietors Gavin and Penny Ellis have refurbished and extended the hotel with individuality and flair that is truly inspired. Its interior design, excellent cuisine, and the enthusiasm of the friendly staff make this a totally relaxing and memorable place to stay. |
