The hotel is situated in its own garden in the small Scottish Borders town of Innerleithen surrounded by heather covered hills and famous for Traquair House (the oldest inhabited castle in Scotland), St Ronan's Spring and Robert Smail's Printing Works, all open for visitors.

Caddon View is ideal as a base for exploring the area south of Edinburgh and Glasgow (lots of castles and medieval abbeys to visit), as well as for fishing on the Tweed, shopping for Scottish woolens, golf, biking - some of the very best and most exciting in Scotland - and walking.

Steve and Lisa put their hearts into making the Caddon View Hotel a warmly welcoming and comfortable place to stay with an emphasis on good local food.

Caddon View has eight bedrooms, and for weddings and parties can sleep up to 18. The Restaurant dining room can seat 25 to 30 for weddings and dinner parties.

Downstairs is the Drawing Room, a large and elegant room with log fire for cozy evenings.

All around the house are examples of Victorian decoration, cornices, mouldings and wooden doors. The house was built towards the end of the 1800's.

Steve and Lisa's restaurant has a growing reputation - you will be sure to find the excellent local produce cooked with sensitivity to bring out the taste.
