Mackeanston House

Fiona and Colin Graham offer a warm welcome at their comfortable farm-house family home which dates back to the late 1600s. Mackeanston House is in the countryside between Stirling and the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park in the very heart of central Scotland. Perth, Edinburgh and Glasgow are only an hour away.

This is Scotland in miniature, an area made famous by writers such as Sir Walter Scott, Robert Burns and William Wordsworth. Stirling Castle, the National Wallace Monument, and majestic Ben Ledi are within sight of the house, to the west lie Loch Lomond, Loch Katrine and Loch Voil, in the heart of Rob Roy MacGregor country featured in the "Braveheart" and "Rob Roy" films. Golf Courses within 35 minutes include Gleneagles, Loch Lomond, Callander, Aberfoyle and Bridge of Allan.

Before breakfast exercise? You are welcome to play on the all weather tennis court at the end of the garden.

Colin, a qualified Tour Guide speaking French, German and Italian, also plays the bagpipes before dinner from time to time, and this, combined with Fiona's experienced and talented cooking, makes dining at Mackeanston a memorable experience.
