Pippa and Robin welcome guests to stay for bed and breakfast at their home Quarter - a Georgian country house in the middle of Scotland with easy access to Edinburgh, Glasgow Perth and Stirling.

Quarter is reached from the road below by a 1/3 mile drive which passes through some of the 60 acres of parkland fields and woods that surround the house. Built in 1776 and described in the early 19th century as "an elegant modern mansion", Quarter is perfectly proportioned with a Tuscan portico and pediment above, set high on a hill surrounded by trees, shrubs, lawns and rhododendrons. The original Georgian interior woodwork, plaster cornices, window shutters and chimney-pieces are all preserved.

This is an ideal place to stay if you want easy and central access to both East and West coasts (from St Andrews to Inveraray and Argyll), an amazing concentration of historic houses, castle and gardens as well as the wilderness of the Highlands. All around there are plenty of golf courses (the "Open" at Loch Lomond is 60 minutes away), walking and biking (Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park) and even fishing and a riding school half a mile down the road.
