Self catering holiday cottage
Holiday rental cottage on the sea shore
Privacy, seclusion and comfort
The cottage was perfect and the location wonderful. We never come back to the same place twice but may make Kirkdale Port an exception
[August 2013)
We had to come back but did not believe it would be so soon! Again, a wonderful welcome from Neil, with milk and biscuits and the cottage as beautiful as we remembered. We have had a wonderful, relaxing week in the most idyllic situation. Dog and human heaven.
(May and June 2013)
The cottage was beautiful and the surroundings stunning. Everything was there that anyone could have needed. Thank you so much for sharing this little gem with us - we will definitely be back
(May 2013)
It truly is difficult to add superlatives to those written by every other holiday maker, but to agree with them all is easy. This cottage is special.
(April 2013)
We have rented many cottages in Dumfries and Galloway over the years but Kirkdale Port is something else. The sea shone at the bottom of the garden, wildlife in abundance, peace and tranquility. Thank you Neil and Kirsten for the biscuits, milk and the flowers and the friendly welcome.
(April 2013)
Thank you again for letting us stay in your lovely cottage and thank you for the milk and gorgeous biscuits. This is a very special place and obviously well loved.
[April 2013)
The most scenic and relaxing location you could ask for.
(Feb 2013)
Kirkdale Port is a gem. We have fallen in love with the place.
(October 2012)
This place is perfect, beautiful views, peaceful, charming cottage and very comfortable.
(October 2012)
What a wonderful, peaceful and magical cottage.
(September 2012)
Having read all the comments from past occupants, they all sum exactly what the area/location is all about, perfect.
(September 2012)
What a magical week we have all had staying in our own cottage by the sea and through the woods.
(August 2012)
Best holiday of my life.
(June 2012)
We have absolutely loved the cottage, beach, peace and tranquility here.
(May 2012)
There is just so much to see and do around here. This cottage is a perfect base and even more perfect place to return to in the evenings - logs burning, wine opened - sit back and relax and enjoy the view!
(May 2012)
One of the best weeks we've ever had.
(March 2012)
This place has surpassed all our expectations.
(December 2011)
Thank you for sharing this little piece of heaven.
(September 2011)
As we approached the cottage on our arrival we both just went WOW!
(August 2011)
The word wonderful doesn't do this super cottage justice. Stay in - go out, do whatever your heart desires. Three generations have had the time of their lives.
(July 2011)
Thank you for your cottage. We will be recommending it, except that we don't want it to be booked up!
(October 2010)
Needlesss to say we are even now trying to find a time when we can come back again
(September 2010)
What a beautiful cottage in a stunning location. One of the highlights has been gazing up at the stars on the clear nights. This has been a very special week.
(August 2010)
We have had a marvellous holiday. A seabass was caught on the foreshore and enjoyed within the hour. Wonderful.
(July 2010)
The cottage itself is simply special. We adore the woodburning stove. Collecting driftwood to use as kindling has been a joy. Skimming stones on the Solway before breakfast - just bliss.
(June 2010)
The weather has been perfect but we reckon this cottage would be a little piece of paradise whatever the weather.
[June 2010)
It's the best holiday cottage we've ever been to and the area is glorious. We would love to visit again.
(May 2010)
I've always wanted a cottage where I could wake up and walk straight to the beach and this is it.
(May 2010)
I could live here forever. We will definitely be back.
(April 2010)
Kirkdale Port is just magical. We are loving it here.
